Job Description:

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Attendant to join our cafe team. The ideal candidate will assist with various kitchen duties to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including floors, counters, and equipment.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
Assist chefs and cooks as needed during busy periods.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
Monitor and report inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to superiors
• Continually develops culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals
• Measures mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
• Washes, chops, and cuts fruit, meat, and vegetable items
• Assesses inventory and requests resupply when necessary
• Plates meal items under the chef de partie’s supervision
• Disposes of spoiled items and adheres to sanitation policies

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher certification in culinary arts preferred
• 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role
• Must know about Asian Cuisine, Mediterranean, Arabic, Western, Japanese, and other Cuisines
• Good understanding of food, health, and safety regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate
• Able to lift heavy items
• Able to work holidays and weekends

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Manage Reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Assist wait staff as needed

Qualifications:

• 21  up to 35 years old
• Female applicants only
• Height required is at least 5’4
• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Experience in managing reservations
• Demonstrable customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Availability to work in shifts as needed
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
